Verse of the Day

Proverbs 6:32
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
Reflections On The Scripture: When we step outside of the sacred vows of marriage, engaging in adultery, it reveals a profound lack of understanding of not only the holy sanctity of such a commitment, but also the inherent worth of our own souls. Scripture teaches us that such a act does more than just harm the bond between man and woman, it wreaks havoc on the soul of the one who commits it. Adultery is, fundamentally, a self-destructive behavior. It's not merely a betrayal of our spouse, but a betrayal of one’s own dignity and moral integrity. It damages your soul, your innermost being. In essence, by engaging in adultery, we are harming our very own selves more than anyone else. Let us hence conclude that upholding moral integrity, especially within the boundaries of marriage, is not only a practice of reverence towards God and your spouse, but also an act of profound self-love and self-respect.
