Verse of the Day
Ezekiel 7:19
Reflections On The Scripture: This verse powerfully nudges us to examine where we are placing our trust and hope. Is it material wealth – silver and gold – that we are clinging to for our sense of security? The scripture cautions us that material wealth cannot shield us from divine judgement, neither can it truly sate our souls. It often becomes a stumbling block that distances us from righteousness. Instead, we are urged to invest in spiritual riches - love, kindness, righteousness and faith that have lasting value. In times of God's righteous judgement, it's not our wealth that counts but our faithfulness to Him, our love for others, and our commitment to justice. The real treasure therefore lies not in worldly wealth, but in a rich relationship with the Lord.
