Verse of the Day

John 2:6
And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
Reflections On The Scripture: Life is filled with stone waterpots, vessels labeled as ordinary, mundane, or even insignificant. Yet, it is within these containers, just like in this verse from John, that the extraordinary can occur. Each one of us is a waterpot, and it is in our seemingly mundane existence that God’s work can be carried out. The stone waterpots were there for ritual cleansing, echoing our own need for purification. However, their subsequent transformation into vessels of the finest wine speaks of God's remarkable ability to transform our lives. We are all waterpots, and with faith and His touch, our ordinary selves can experience extraordinary change, going from merely surviving to absolutely thriving.
