Verse of the Day

Exodus 22:20
He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
Reflections On The Scripture: Understanding this verse is incredibly significant. It's a potent reminder that our devotion, our sacrifice, should be singularly to the Lord. There is a call-to-action here; God wants our undivided attention, our complete adoration. The world offers numerous distractions that can easily shift our focus off the divine. Remember, there are many gods that may not seem like 'gods'. Anything that takes up the space in our heart that belongs to the Lord is considered a 'god'. Materialism, power, fame - these can all be 'gods' if they divert our commitment from the One who truly deserves it. Let us move away from the path of destruction and walk the path of devotion to the One True God.
