Verse of the Day
Romans 1:1
Reflections On The Scripture: The opening verse of Romans introduces us to Paul, not by his achievements or societal status, but by his position in relation to God: a servant, and a called apostle. This verse is a humble invitation for us to mirror such a posture in our lives. Paul was separated unto the Gospel of God - he lived solely for the message of Jesus Christ, dedicating his life to spread it far and wide. Every step, every breath, every heartbeat was for the Gospel. Our lives too should reflect this earnest dedication. When the world sees us, they should primarily see servants of Christ, living for the Gospel regardless of our worldly statuses or roles. Christian life is about being set apart for His divine purpose, echoing the call to love and serve, just as Paul did.
