Verse of the Day
Acts 17:8
Reflections On The Scripture: When Paul and Silas brought the message of Jesus to the city of Thessalonica, they stirred not just the people, but the rulers as well. This disruption wasn't about causing chaos or distress, but challenging the status quo. It's a reminder that receiving the word of God may not always seem comfortable or easy, it may even disturb us at times. But that's because it calls us away from our old lives and towards a new, transformative path in Christ. The reactions of the people and the city rulers remind us that embracing God's word can demand courage, resilience and steadfast faith. It is never our role to please the crowd but to please God. The ripple effect of standing up for our faith can cause temporary discomfort yet ultimately leads towards eternal peace.
