Verse of the Day

2 Samuel 21:2
And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
Reflections On The Scripture: This scripture teaches us the importance of respect and empathy for others, regardless of their background and boundaries. The Gibeonites, though not children of Israel, were still recognized by the king. This gives us the lesson that there're no ordinary people. Everyone is created with a unique value and purpose under heaven. Too often, in our zeal for our own tribe, we fail to recognize the value and rights of others, as with Saul’s misunderstanding. Yet, God loves all of His creation. Let us not repeat Saul's mistake, rather let's create an atmosphere of honor, acceptance, and respect. Let love guide our actions, appreciating the divine dignity inherent within each of our neighbors. Everyone we meet, everyone we connect with, is worthy of honor and respect.
