Verse of the Day
2 Corinthians 8:5
Reflections On The Scripture: This verse beautifully illustrates the importance of putting God first in our lives. The people knew their priorities and they didn't act in the ways that were expected of them, but according to what they believed God wanted them to do. They first pledged themselves to God, signifying their dedication and commitment to their Creator. Only then did they pledge themselves to us, implying the apostles and other Christians. This powerful act of prioritizing God over men, their genuine surrender to His will, should be a reminder to us to never place anyone or anything before God. It shows maturity in the faith; knowing that all we have is from God and for God, and through His divine will, we are led on this spiritual journey where our actions reflect not the demands of the world, but the Godly purpose He has set for us.
