Verse of the Day
1 Samuel 9:19
Reflections On The Scripture: In the book of Samuel, we see a moment of divine guidance. Saul, lost and desperate, turns to Samuel who, as a seer, could see what Saul could not. Samuel was not offering Saul mere sustenance or a meal. He was offering him divine fellowship, and a chance to unburden his heart’s deepest concerns. The "high place" Samuel refers to is more than a physical location, it signifies a spiritual elevation, a meeting place with God. Samuel tells Saul, "I will tell thee all that is in thine heart", this commitment goes beyond temporal solutions. It echoes God’s promise for us, to provide guidance and support in our most challenging times. We all have "Samuels" in our lives, spiritual mentors who help us see what we cannot and guide us towards God’s grace in times of need.
