Verse of the Day

1 Kings 8:51
For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
Reflections On The Scripture: Our lives sometimes feel like we are in the midst of a furnace of iron, the pressures, challenges, and distresses are unrelenting. Yet this verse reminds us of God's magnificent redeeming love. Just as the Israelites were brought out of their bondage in Egypt, each of us is given an inheritance of freedom from our individual plights. His people, that's who we are. We're His precious inheritance, His prize. No furnace, no matter how hot, can diminish that fact. We often forget that we do not walk through these trials alone, for He is with us, guiding us, giving us the strength needed to endure and emerge stronger. Remember today and every day, you are God's inheritance, thought worthy of redemption and unconditional love.
