Verse of the Day

Song of Songs 4:8
Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions\' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.
Reflections On The Scripture: This sacred verse from the Song of Songs is an open reminder to us all. It calls us to go on a spiritual journey away from the familiar. Lebanon, Amana, Shenir, Hermon and the mountains of leopards -- these are not just geographical locations, but symbolize the places of comfort, of habitual patterns and fixed mindsets. The lions’ dens represent our fears and obstacles which might seem threatening, like the lair of a predator. Our Creator is asking us to leave these behind and follow him, to look at our lives from a higher perspective, a divine vantage point. When we rise above, we break free from our limited perceptions, open our hearts to divine wisdom and realize that our fears are just illusions. The very journey that seemed fraught with peril, transforms into a triumphant procession of faith. We are no longer spouses of the world, but become one with the spiritual realm.
