Verse of the Day

1 Kings 13:24
And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
Reflections On The Scripture: This scripture from 1 Kings may seem tragic, yet it holds a profound truth about obedience and the consequences of deviating from God's path. Like the unnamed man in this story, we often meet our own proverbial "lions" when we stray from God's commands. This doesn't necessarily mean an untimely end but it can translate into hardships, obstacles and trials that could have been avoided. By staying steadfast on God's path and following His guidance, we can avoid these metaphorical "lions" on our journey. Remember, even if we have strayed, it is never too late to turn back to God's path. His mercy is boundless, and His guidance is forever open to those who seek it.
