Empowering Yourself Through Prayer and Meditation
Many people believe that self-empowerment equates to vanity. However, empowering your inner being or spirituality actually strengthens your faith in the Lord. In this article, you’ll learn how to stay empowered through praying and meditating. You’ll discover how connected you are to God and yourself.
How Prayer and Meditation Promote Self-Love and Empowerment
“I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith… [so] that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” – Ephesians 3:14-19
God is never selfish of his power. He uses his unlimited source of power to supply us with our own and be spiritually empowered by the Holy Spirit in our inner being.
Our physical attractiveness and worldly possessions are not essential to God. That’s why there is a highlight of the “inner being.” This may seem confusing, mainly because we are so focused on material things like beauty, wealth, and fashion.
The key to self-love and empowerment is prayer. The first sentence of the verse directly says it. You bow your knees before the Father so that Christ will dwell in your hearts through faith. That way, you’ll be more certain in your ability to reflect and discover yourself.
How to Pray and Meditate
Here are some ways you can pray and meditate to empower yourself.
Be Quiet
One of the most fundamental elements of meditation is silence. Start by sitting in a straight posture. You may also kneel or just lie down, as long as you are in the right headspace. When you breathe, breathe into the heart since that is where Christ lies.
Connect With Your Surroundings
Reconnecting with nature is an exciting way to meditate since our surroundings are also a creation of God. It’s also filled with high-frequency energy!
Consider disconnecting with technology, the hustle and bustle of city life, people, and other forms of chaos. You can do this at least once a week. Once you get used to it, you can connect with your surroundings and disconnect from everything else daily. You’ll realize how spiritually empowered you are.
Have Optimism
Thinking positively is not only a habit but also a form of prayer. It allows you to acknowledge the bright future God has planned for you. Be sure to thank Him even during the most challenging times so you can quickly remove any negative thoughts or fears.
Meditating and reflecting on your positive characteristics is also one way to be optimistic. Remember to focus on your inner self over your external being.
Praise God
Do not forget that the primary purpose of your self-empowerment initiative is to be able to praise God even better. Spend a moment to offer your praises and gratitude to God, whether you’re being optimistic about your day, connecting with your surroundings, or trying to make a request. Learn how to begin each day with gratitude.
Make a Request
Making a request from God always comes from a place of meditation and self-connection. You make peace with your imperfections and shortcomings by asking for God’s grace. It allows you to acknowledge which facets of your life need improvement. After all, you are only human.
Surrender Everything
Breathing out during meditation represents your ability to let go. This may be the only moment of your day when you communicate thoroughly with God. So be present and let go of any confusion, worry, or depression. Make sure to keep your peace intense and sacred as you communicate with God.
A Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment
Dear God,
Thank you for giving me the power to perform activities and fulfill my tasks as a Christian. Despite all the problems I encounter, the Holy Spirit’s guidance continues to inspire and motivate me to be better.
Thank you for allowing me to do life with you. This is the main reason I remain empowered, victorious, and strong.
I pray that I maintain this courage through your ever-flowing love. Bless the person that I am so I can continue being spiritually empowered.
Amen.
