Reflections On The Scripture: At times, we might read the scriptures, yet fail to comprehend them. We're often like those disciples on the road to Emmaus; we have Jesus walking with us, sharing the treasures of His word, but our understanding is closed. However, the scriptures reassure us in Luke 24:45 that Jesus, in His grace and mercy, has the power to open our understanding. God is always ready to illuminate our minds to the splendours hidden in His word. It may seem difficult at first, not unlike deciphering a complex puzzle. But, with the divine intervention of Christ, the pieces start fitting together. He breaks down the walls of misunderstanding and ushers in enlightenment as we study the holy verses. Hence, let's always seek the guidance of the Spirit as we enter into Bible study, knowing that God alone can truly open our minds to receive the depths of His word.
