Verse of the Day

Leviticus 13:4
If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days:
Reflections On The Scripture: This verse from Leviticus shows us the ancient process of diagnosis and quarantine for someone potentially stricken with disease. It's a strong reminder that there is an appropriate time for us to seclude ourselves, to heal, to recuperate and above all, depend on God's healing power. Similarly, we may sometimes find ourselves in a 'shut up' situation, where life’s circumstances themselves become a 'priest' - guiding us to step back from activities. It might be a difficult season, but it is necessary for a greater purpose. As the skin heals within, likewise, our spirits heal and strengthen in these quiet times. So if you find yourself in a shut up situation, be patient. Embrace the healing, for the light at the end of that is brighter and purer than ever.
