Verse of the Day
Leviticus 11:44
Reflections On The Scripture: This passage from Leviticus is a lofty reminder of our divine summons, a direct command from our Heavenly Father to keep ourselves sanctified and holy, just as He is. He is not just asking this without reason, but rather is urging us firmly to free ourselves from the pollutants of the world, to avoid defilement from the numerous deceptions and temptations that creep on the earth. He is calling us to stand apart, to take seriously our duty to ourselves and to Him to live lives of holiness, purity, and reverence. How? By making conscious decisions every day that align with His commandments, by praying for strength against temptation, and by being mindful not to tarnish our spirit by indulging in the earthly matters that do not glorify Him.
