Verse of the Day

Judges 9:11
But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
Reflections On The Scripture: This scripture from Judges 9:11 calls us to life's true mission: to bear good fruit. The fig tree, despite the offer to rule over other trees, remained steadfast, understanding its purpose to provide sweetness and good fruit. In our own lives, we may face similar propositions where power, prestige, or status beckon us. These may seem enticing initially, however, like the fig tree, we must never lose sight of the divine assignment God has placed on our lives. Our ultimate aim is not to rise above others, but to nourish, to serve, to bring sweetness into the lives of those around us by bearing the good fruit of love, kindness, and mercy.
