Verse of the Day

1 Corinthians 9:1
Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
Reflections On The Scripture: In the apostle Paul's question, we find a call to self-affirmation. Just as Paul confidently asserts his divine calling and firsthand encounter with the risen Savior, we too are encouraged to affirm our own unique experiences and callings from God. Just as Paul saw his fruitful work in Corinth as proof of his apostleship, we are too reminded to look at the places of our life where we see God moving, guiding, and working through us. These are the markers of our unique divine appointments, given to us by God. Thus, like Paul, we need to embrace and assert who we are in Christ, what we have seen, and what we have accomplished through Him. We don't need to shy away from who we are and who God made us to be. Stand firm in the truth of your experience with Christ, because you are His work in the Lord.
