Verse of the Day

Judges 4:11
Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.
Reflections On The Scripture: This passage reminds us of the courageous decision made by Heber the Kenite, to detach himself from his people, and to pitch his tent in a different land. There are times in our lives when we may also be called to sever ourselves from what is familiar, from what we have grown up with, and move to a different 'land', a different state of being. It may be in our spiritual, professional or personal life. It may seem daunting and demand tremendous courage. Just like Heber the Kenite, we need to have faith, to understand when God is calling us to step out of our comfort zone, and oblige for our improvement and the unfolding of His divine plan. We need to listen to His voice, discern His will, be willing to face the consequences, and stand strong with conviction in the faith that just as God was with Heber, He will be with us too.
