Verse of the Day

John 14:8
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Reflections On The Scripture: Just as Philip yearned to see the Father, so does our heart ache to know and understand our Maker more deeply. The beauty of our journey with God resides in the fact that He is absolutely willing to reveal Himself to those who earnestly seek him. He is not a far-off, distant God, but rather a loving Father who desires intimate relationship with His children. In this quest of ours, we must remember the value of faith, for although we may not see visibly, we can trust that the Father is ever present, ever working in our lives. Rest in the comfort that we don't need to understand everything. His love suffices us in all things, just as it sufficed Philip. God's self-revelation in our lives is not a one-time event, but an on-going relationship founded on trust, humility and love. Let His suffice be enough for us, and may our hearts be ever open to perceive and receive Him.
