Verse of the Day
2 Samuel 2:10
Reflections On The Scripture: Though Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, reigned over Israel, the house of Judah chose to follow David. This verse mirrors the choices we often face in our personal lives. Sometimes, we find ourselves in positions of influence or authority not by our choice or through our own strength but by the circumstances that happen around us. Just as Ishbosheth did, we too must lead. Yet, leadership without the willing followers leads to a divided kingdom. It's a poignant reminder that true leadership comes not simply with a title or position, but through the respect and trust earned from those we lead. The house of Judah chose to follow David, not out of obligation, but because they saw in him a leader they could trust and respect. So in our lives, let's strive not merely to hold positions of authority, but to be leaders in the truest sense, earning the trust and respect of those we lead.
