Verse of the Day

2 Kings 22:4
Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:
Reflections On The Scripture: This verse from 2 Kings calls us to reflect upon our spiritual offerings. Just as the people of Jerusalem showed reverence and respect for the temple of God by giving silver, we too are called to bring the best of our hearts, minds and strength to our heavenly Father. However, these offerings are not limited to monetary ones. Our prayers, acts of kindness, love for our neighbors - all of these are valuable contributions in the eyes of the Lord. So let us aim to be like the good people of Jerusalem, who were generous in their offerings. Because it is not the value of the offering that matters, but the sincerity and love behind it that pleases God. Let's honor God with all we have, for when we give, it is a reflection of our heart's thanks and adoration for the Lord.
