Verse of the Day
2 Chronicles 31:8
Reflections On The Scripture: The passage from 2 Chronicles highlights an invaluable lesson of gratitude and belief in the Lord's abundant provisions. King Hezekiah and the princes were left in awe by the veritable heaps of offerings that signaled the faithfulness of God's children. Such was the reward of Israel for unabashedly bending their knees in worship and providing for God's temple. Consider your life, the blessings you receive daily, the breath of life you are given, the opportunities that land on your path; can you not see the heaps of blessings God has poured into your life? In days of surplus and times of scarcity, let us mimic Hezekiah and the princes' reaction. Let us always be ready to bless the Lord for all He has given us, and may our blessings be a beacon of hope for others that God is still in the business of serving heaps of blessings.
