Verse of the Day

2 Chronicles 21:5
Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
Reflections On The Scripture: Jehoram assumed his kingly duties at a young age and reigned for just eight years. This verse is a powerful reminder that our time on Earth is indeed brief. Every breath we draw carries tiny grains of golden opportunity, for it matters not how long you've lived, but how you've lived. Like Jehorum ruling Jerusalem, we each have a sphere of influence where we reign in our own lives. We ought to make the most of this responsibility and chance granted to us, by basing our 'reign' on values of love, truth, and righteousness, regardless of its length. God entrusts us with each day, each role and position, however great or small. Our calling is to use each moment wisely, to impact those around us, to leave a legacy of faith and Godly character that outlives our temporal 'reign'.
