Verse of the Day

1 Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
Reflections On The Scripture: In our times of distress and fear, like David, it is essential to find our strength and solace in the Lord. David was alone, the people were against him, he was on the brink of losing everything, yet he leaned on the Lord in faith. He did not let his circumstances define his faith but instead, he drew strength from God. There are moments in our lives when we feel surrounded by the stones of despair and disappointment. We may feel like we are alone in our own battle, yet it is crucial to remember what David did – he encouraged himself in the Lord his God. When everyone else is against us, remember that God is FOR us. It is in Him that we find the courage to overcome every life hurdle and march towards the victory waiting for us beyond the despair.
