Verse of the Day

1 Samuel 24:9
And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men\'s words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?
Reflections On The Scripture: This scripture is a fabulous reminder to not be swayed by the words of people who may not have our best interests at heart. Often, we may find ourselves in situations where others may speak harmful words about us, creating misunderstanding and strife. David, in this instance, is seeking to clear the cloud of doubt that has been wrongly cast upon him. He encourages Saul to not be influenced by the damaging words of others, but rather take a moment to discern the truth himself. Let this be a lesson to us all; to always seek truth and understanding, and not just accept what we hear. Seek God's wisdom and He will always guide you towards the truth.
