Verse of the Day

1 Kings 7:31
And the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.
Reflections On The Scripture: Just like the details of the chapiter in 1 Kings, our lives are carefully and wonderfully structured by the divine craftman. Each part of this chapiter – the mouth, the base, and the engravings – imparts us a unique lesson. The mouth, being described as a round structure, embodies adaptation and continuity - a reminder to be consistent in our faith. The base, noted to be the work upon which the mouth was formed, signifies the foundation of our lives – our faith in God. Lastly, the engravings with their borders, a beautiful detailing on the chapiter, reminds us that just as every stroke adds to the artistry, each moment and event in our life adds detail to God's sanctified plan for us. Whether our life seems to be foursquare, steady and stable, or ‘not round,’ and full of unexpected twists and turns, remember - we are the Lord's workmanship, every detail being beautifully designed for a divine purpose.
