Verse of the Day

1 Corinthians 4:16
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
Reflections On The Scripture: Often, we think of following as a passive act, as losing our individuality or control. But the apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 4:16, urges us to follow him, as he followed Christ. In essence, he's inviting us to an active relationship not with himself but with Jesus Christ. Paul is merely a guidepost. Following his example doesn't mean losing ourselves, but rather, finding our true selves in Christ. We're reminded that following can be a path to spiritual development and redemption. In recognizing the example set by Paul, we are given a blueprint to a life of eternal salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
