I am desperate for a job, and I listed someone as a reference that is taking forever to get back to potential employers. I am disabled and have a hard time with discrimination and being bullied out of jobs, so I do not have many work references and so I NEED this person to respond ASAP. I have an autoimmune disorder so I have only made $2,000 in 2023 so far because no job is willing to keep me safe with reasonable accommodations. I am a massage therapist and my last employer expected me to be ok with having my head 18 inches from an unmasked person for 30 minutes and I said no I can't do that. They knew I almost died of covid so they should have known better than to expect me to do that. I do not have a lot of friends because of my disability. I have sold every single thing of value. I have no family to help me. I just feel so totally alone in the world and that I am on the brink of homelessness. I NEED this person to either tell me she won't be a reference or just give me a reference.
