John Hohmann, my brother in law, was recently in Riverview Hospital ICU for 7 days with multiple blood clots in his lungs. He required 2 blood transfusions while there as his hemoglobin dropped to 7.2. He was transferred to floor, and eventually to Care one for rehab, as John is wheelchair bound, has cerebral palsy, and needed to get stronger to go home. He was doing very well in rehab, but on Saturday Oct. 5, his hemoglobin results came back 5.9. He went to Riverview hospital for a blood transfusion, but while in ER doctor wanted a cat scan to check his abdomen and for blood clots. They found a large tumor in his large intestine that they think is causing his blood loss. He is going Monday for an exploratory procedure on abdomen and depending on results may have extensive surgery Tuesday,October 8. We need all the prayers we can get and thank everyone.
