Verse of the Day

2 Kings 4:28
Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
Reflections On The Scripture: In this verse, the Shunammite woman cries out in anguished and confused prayer to Elisha, questioning why he brought joy into her life in the form of a son, only to take it away through his untimely death. Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in similar scenarios, where blessings seemingly turn into burdens, where joy becomes despair. However, it's during these times that we must lean into our faith, rather than pull away from it. God's plans are not always easy to understand, but they are always for our good. We serve a God who does not deceive but rather leads us with love and compassion. Trust that what seems like deception might be divine direction. Let's remember, our journey in this life is not devoid of pain and adversity, but in faith, there is reassurance, and in God, there is ultimate refuge.
