7 Ways To Renew Your Faith

Even the most faithful of God’s children can have times when they feel that faith slipping a little. Maybe you’ve gotten out of practice with your daily prayers, or you’ve had some bad things happen, and you’re wondering why God allowed it. No matter the reason, you can always work to renew your faith. Here are seven of the best ways do start doing that today.

1. Seek God in Everything You Do

God is always there, no matter what’s going on in your life. When you seek Him in everything you do, you’ll be more focused on the choices you’re making. Whether those choices are right for you, and how they’ll impact your life and the lives of others, all matter. Seeking God first can set you on the right path more consistently.

2. Plan for the Future, To Stay On Task

You may hope for a lot of great things in your life, but hope is not a plan. You need to actually create a plan for your future, so you can meet the goals you’ve set for yourself. God has a purpose and a vision for every one of us. You can help renew your faith by seeking out that purpose and planning how to make it into reality.

3. Make Worship Part of Your Daily Life

Worship should be part of what you focus on daily. It’s too important to ignore, and it can help you get much closer to God over time. When you want to renew your faith, make sure you set aside time to add worship to your day.

4. Search for the Things That Bring You Peace

What brings you peace and comfort? Is it nature? Alone time? Something else? Seek out those things, and make sure you’re getting the peace and rest you really need. You’re closer to God when you can step away from the world and listen to what He is saying to you.

5. Do Something Different To Release God’s Blessings

Sometimes, you discover that you’re stuck in a rut you never wanted. You might feel like you’ve drifted away from your faith and then gotten trapped there. But you don’t have to stay stuck. You can move away, get new friends, change jobs, or whatever else you need to do to help renew your faith and get close to God again.

6. Be Thankful for What You Have

The more you’re thankful for what you already have, the more you can see new blessings begin to flow. Renewing your faith is a big part of that, as you’re reminded of how much God has already given you, and how much you can be a blessing to others.

7. Look for God’s Guidance In All You Do

In everything you plan to do, look for God’s guidance. He won’t steer you wrong, and when you feel His presence in your life it will help to renew your faith in Him. There’s no reason to settle for less, or make decisions you’re unsure of, when you can ask God to help you every day, with guidance throughout every aspect of your life.
