The concept of marriage and having a spouse is a gift from God. Here are seven prayers for your spouse and marriage. You can use these prayers to start the day and end the day. Speak these words with love in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Here are prayers for the seven keys to a healthy marriage.

The Seven Keys to a Healthy Marriage Prayers

1. Understanding

Lord, I pray you help me understand the thoughts, feelings, and emotions of my spouse and to see beyond words to the true loving spirit of their heart. Help me show my sincere desires in a loving, respectful, spiritual way so my spouse can feel the true love I have for them deep down in my soul. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

2. Communication

Lord, I pray you help me express my true thoughts and feelings effectively and with a loving, kind heart. Please help me to hold my tongue when I’m angry and let love and praise flow as a constant affirmation of love to my spouse when I’m not. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

3. Trust

Lord, I pray you guide my thoughts and help me to see beyond myself. Help me to trust my spouse when I have doubts. Help me to speak kindly and rationally when trying to clear up any doubt and mistrust issues I have and so that I do so with love and understanding. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

4. Forgiveness

Lord, please help me to remain committed to my spouse realizing everyone makes mistakes. Help me to get past my anger and hurt feelings when they do something that upsets me. Please enable us to talk through the pain with love, kindness, and respect so we can get past any issue and continue to grow as a committed couple. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

5. Appreciation

Lord, please help me to never take my spouse for granted and to appreciate every moment we have together because you never know when it will be our last. Please also help me to remember to show my spouse how much I appreciate them because I never want them to feel as if I’ve taken them for granted. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

6. Love

Lord, please help me always to remember that love is patient, love is kind, and love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way. Help me to always love my spouse in a deep and meaningful way that will touch their soul from now through eternity. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

7. Time

Lord, please help me to always be present and to take the time to spend with my spouse, just the two of us, to connect on a more personal and more profound level. Help me to love them with all my heart, for time is precious and should never be taken for granted. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Closing Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for your gift of a loving spouse. Please help us to make time for living, loving, and worshiping together. Help me to always be patient and kind, regardless of the issues we might face. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
