Verse of the Day

Proverbs 21:13
Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
Reflections On The Scripture: Just as Proverbs 21:13 teaches,we must be willing to lend an ear to those in need, even if they are poor in material wealth, they may be rich in spirit. It’s vital for us to keep our hearts open, our hands ready to assist, and our ears ready to hear the cries of the less fortunate. As we enjoy our material blessings, we must not forget that the real wealth lies in the act of giving, in the compassion shown towards a fellow human being. When we ignore the cry of the poor, we are essentially isolating our own spirits, disconnecting it from the divine essence of love and community. The plea we may make someday might fall on deaf ears, just as we did to others. We must remember, true richness does not lie in what we keep, but in what we give away.
