Verse of the Day

Mark 6:50
For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
Reflections On The Scripture: Each of us has experienced times when we are troubled and afraid, when the stormy seas of our own lives seem ready to overwhelm us. Here, in Mark's narrative, we are reminded to look for Jesus in the midst of our storms. The disciples were afraid because they saw something they couldn't understand - and it scared them. But the moment they recognized Jesus, He was there to reassure them. Today, no matter what you are going through, remember His words: "Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid." That is His promise to us - in the middle of fear and uncertainty, His presence is there to comfort and guide. He does not assure us of an easy journey, but He assures us of His unending presence in every storm. His "it is I" is a reminder of His constant, unwavering presence. So, be of good cheer today and do not let your heart be troubled or afraid, for He is with us.
