Verse of the Day

Luke 19:18
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
Reflections On The Scripture: This powerful verse from the book of Luke is a poignant reminder of the magnificent grace of our Lord and opportunity of stewardship He bestows upon us. Each one of us has been given our own "pound" or talent by the Lord and he watches to see what we do with it. Will we use it to promote His kingdom and to glorify His name, or will we hide it, letting it lay dormant? This verse challenges us to acknowledge the gifts God has given us and use them to bear fruit for the kingdom of God. It’s the expression of our gratitude towards Him for all His blessings and the return we make on what He has invested in us. We are His hands and feet in this world and He is entrusting us to do His work, to multiply the gifts He’s given us. Just as the servant in this verse has multiplied his pound, may we too bear fruit and multiply the Lord's blessings in our lives.
