Verse of the Day

Luke 18:19
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
Reflections On The Scripture: Allow this passage to remind us that there is a profound distinction between goodness as the world understands it and the true, divine goodness that God alone possesses. Even Jesus, when He walked in His mortal form on earth, affirmed that the purity of God's goodness far surpasses any other. None of our good deeds can compare with the perfect righteousness of God. This truth should not discourage us, but inspire us. It should motivate us and guide our steps towards living our lives in appreciation of God’s incomparable goodness and striving to reflect this goodness in our own actions, however imperfectly. Let's humbly acknowledge our imperfections and allow them to deepen our appreciation for God’s perfect goodness.
