Verse of the Day

Luke 11:14
And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
Reflections On The Scripture: In life, we often encounter metaphoric demons that hold us back, that instill fear, and that silence us into submission, just as the physically mute man in Luke 11:14 was inhibited by his devil. However, when we surrender ourselves to the power of faith, miracles happen. This mute man began speaking when Jesus cast out the devil, causing quite a stir among the people. It wasn’t the speech that surprised the crowd, it was the power of faith overcoming adversity. So, let's cast out our personal demons, our doubts, fears, and insecurities. Let's give them to God, for when we do, our tongues will be loosened, and we will speak. Abiding in faith empowers us to voice out love, hope, and charity to a listening world, surprising and inspiring those around us.
