Verse of the Day
Leviticus 26:27
Reflections On The Scripture: Our Heavenly Father presents us with choices, one of which is the decision whether or not to heed his Word. However, there are consequences when we choose to stray. Like a loving parent, God's reproof is not meant to harm us, but rather to steer us back onto the right path. In this verse, the Lord is not threatening punishment, but expressing a sad reality: when we don't listen and align ourselves with his teachings, we inevitably walk counter to his divine plan. Thus, may we endeavour to incline our hearts and ears towards the Lord, striving not to walk contrary to him but rather within the gracious parameters of his love and wisdom.
