Verse of the Day

Leviticus 19:18
““‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.”
Reflections On The Scripture: In our daily lives, we may encounter situations or people that seem to provoke a desire for retribution or a grudge within our hearts. However, the Word of God reminds us to let go of the inclination to retaliate, and instead, invest our energy into loving our neighbor as much as we love ourselves. When we love others in this way, we truly reflect the heart of God, because He is the Lord, the very embodiment of love. As we strive to love others and not engage in revenge, we open the door to the many blessings that come from a heart filled with love and forgiveness. The Holy Spirit works within us to heal the wounds of past hurts, enabling us to carry on with a lighter heart, more readily able to embrace the joy, peace, and contentment found only in God's presence. Let us resist the urge to seek vengeance, setting our eyes instead on God's example of love, forgiveness, and grace – that by doing so, our lives may serve as a testimony of His wonderful work within us.
