Verse of the Day

Judges 9:9
But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
Reflections On The Scripture: In this potent illustration found in Judges 9:9, the olive tree represents an individual called to a life of purpose and blessings. The 'fatness' of the olive tree signifies not just material abundance, but the rich, nourishing outreach it provides to others. The tree is being asked to leave this purpose and role for a promotion, an elevation in social status, which it rejects. This speaks to us in our lives. Often, in the chasing of promotions, higher statuses, and societal accolades, we find ourselves drifting away from our core purpose and the divine plan God has for us. The olive tree teaches us to embrace our divine role, meeting the needs of those around us, serving God and man, rather than seeking empty promotions, symbolizing trees. You are divinely positioned. Embrace it and continue to bear your fruit.
