Verse of the Day

Judges 6:11
And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
Reflections On The Scripture: This resonant verse from Judges brings with it a powerful message of faith. Just as Gideon went about his work diligently in the fields, we are reminded that extraordinary times call for extraordinary courage. During his task, an angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, demonstrating that God always sees us in our moments of struggle and sends His divine assistance when we least expect it, but need it the most. Our darkest, most challenging circumstances may often lead us to retreat or hide, similar to Gideon hiding the wheat from the Midianites. But let’s remember that God’s grace and providence are ever present. He calls us to face our challenges with courage and steadfast faith, knowing that He is always by our side in every tribulation we undergo. His divine intervention in our lives often comes in unlikely places and form, so let's always remain hopeful and receptive.
