Verse of the Day

Joshua 24:24
And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
Reflections On The Scripture: When the people of Israel declared to Joshua their unwavering loyalty to the Lord, they were not only proposing passive obedience, but they were also committing to active service. This verse is a beckoning call to all of us today. It's not enough to just heed the voice of the Lord; we must also embrace the role of being his servants, thus mineralizing our lives into channels of His love and grace. Furthermore, this commitment is both personal and collective. Not only did each individual resolve to follow the Lord, but they did so as an entire community. Today, let us take inspiration from this and remember that serving and obeying God is a personal choice but is also best accomplished when we endeavor it as a unified body, working collectively to bring the Kingdom of God to earthly realms. Faith is fundamentally an individual relationship with God, but it should reflect just as strongly in our collective actions as a community.
