Verse of the Day

Jonah 1:10
Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
Reflections On The Scripture: Just as Jonah sought to flee from the calling of the Lord, many of us too sometimes feel an urge to escape from our God-given responsibilities. This verse teaches us that action driven by fear and disobedience often leads to severe consequences. However, it also reminds us of God's omnipresence. We may try to run away, but God's presence is everywhere, his love is inescapable. So, let's face our fears, openly embrace our callings and trust in His guidance, thereby experiencing the full benefits of His eternal love and mercy.
