Verse of the Day

John 13:37
Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
Reflections On The Scripture: Peter's commitment is moving and noble, but it shines a light on our common human weakness: the discrepancy between our pledged devotion and our day-to-day actions. Often, we make grand declarations of faith, yet falter when we are called to live out these declarations in the simple and small moments of our lives. The road to fulfilling God's purpose for us is fraught with trials and tribulations and our strength and determination are tested in the most unexpected moments. So, let us be prepared not only to lay our lives in massive sacrifices but to dedicate every small act and thought in our daily lives to glorify Him.
