Verse of the Day

Isaiah 5:3
And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
Reflections On The Scripture: In Isaiah 5:3, the Lord speaks pleasurably to every heart that is tender toward Him. He bids us, He invites us, to stand in the gap between Him and His vineyard, the world He purposely formed. Think of it as a divine jury duty, appointed gently by God's infinitely wise and just hand. He's given us license to evaluate His deeds, His miracles, His blessings, to determine if they aren't indeed good. He puts forth His vineyard, His masterpiece creation for our perusal. He encourages us to examine His works critically, knowing that a sincere and unbiased examination can only lead to one conclusion: His works are righteous, His creation remarkable, and His love for us irresistible. We are His vineyard; every sweetness and bitterness is allowed for our growth and transformation.
