Verse of the Day

Isaiah 5:22
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Reflections On The Scripture: This verse, Isaiah 5:22, calls to those who find their strength and identity in worldly pleasures, like drinking wine or mixing strong drink. God's Word doesn't condemn enjoying life's delights but warns us against idolizing temporary pleasures and relying on them for strength and satisfaction. When one's might is drawn from earthly substances, then they risk becoming spiritually deprived. The Lord wants us to find our strength in Him, to imbibe His Word and Holy Spirit, to be filled with divine power far surpassing any earthly drink. Remember, our God provides a wellspring of life, of joy, of strength which never runs out nor causes any harm—let us turn to Him, draw from His well, and experience the true strength that only our Creator can provide.
