Verse of the Day
Isaiah 36:3
Reflections On The Scripture: In this verse, Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, along with Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, stand before the Lord. Their identities and roles are not hidden, but rather, stated clearly: one is over the house, one is the scribe, and another one is a recorder. This calls us to attentively acknowledge our own roles in God’s grand design. It’s a divine reminder that each of us has a unique and specific position to fill, a meaningful role to play in God's Kingdom. We are not just mere spectators in this spiritual journey, but bearers of God-given responsibilities. Just as Eliakim, Shebna and Joah, we are known, seen, and called forth by God to walk in His purpose.
