Verse of the Day

Genesis 5:13
And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:
Reflections On The Scripture: In the Genesis, we are shown the long-lived nature of our early ancestors, such as Cainan who is mentioned to have lived eight hundred and forty years. The longevity might seem like an inexplicable reality in our era, but it symbolizes the engrossing endurance of faith and the will to carry forward God's command. Similarly, God empowers us to be of long-lasting service to our people and to the world. In our spiritual journey, despite the adversities or hardships that come our way, we have the capacity to endure and continue to strive for good, just like Cainan. Just as Cainan's life was fruitful, creating generations and contributing to the lineage of humanity, we too, regardless of our lifespan, should aim for a life of productivity, righteousness, and unwavering service to others.
