Verse of the Day
Genesis 35:1
Reflections On The Scripture: The divine message that Jacob received in the book of Genesis isn't just historical significance, but also a life lesson for us. There are times in life when we find ourselves dwelling in places we are not meant to be, held back by fear, grudges or past mistakes just like Jacob who fled from his brother Esau. But remember, God’s calling for us often involves rising from our low state, taking a step in faith even when the future is uncertain. When God instructed Jacob to "arise, go up to Bethel", it was a call to return to a committed relationship with Him, to construct his life upon the foundation of faith in God. Similarly, irrespective of where you've been or what you've done, God is calling you today to arise and to build an altar of faith in your life. Remember, you're never too far gone for a divine redirection.
